"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full Armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."

School History and Mission

Immanuel Christian School opened its doors in September 1969, serving students in preschool through 2nd grade. The school added grades every year until it provided Christian education for students through 8th grade. ICS remained this way until 2001, when the high school was added. Immanuel's first graduating class was in 2002, with 6 seniors receiving their diplomas in the church sanctuary.

In 2004, ICS introduced a proprietary College Prep class which incorporated cultural literacy, standardized test prep and personal planning for all post-high school endeavors. In 2009 ICS also introduced Dual Credit classes allowing High School students to earn College Credits after successfuly completing the college course and final exam required.

In 2018 ICS introduced the Cisco Academy for students in 8th to 12th grade. Students have the oppourtunity to earn certifications through the Cisco Networking Academy after successfully completing the courses.

Since then, ICS has had 5 National Hispanic Scholars and one National Merit Scholar. Each year, graduates receive thousands of dollars in scholarships and Immanuel Christian School alumni now grace the campuses of such prestigious universities as Princeton Theological Seminary, MIT, Wellesley College, University of Notre Dame, UT Austin, TCU, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and St. Mary's University.
