Two of our 7th Grade students, Cora Fox and Haim Yoo recently participated in the Patriot’s Pen Writing Contest sponsored by the VFW. Both girls finished top 3 in the District, with Fox placing third and Yoo placing first!
Our students were tasked with writing a 300 word essay on “How are you inspired by America?” Cora and Haim were two of four ICS Students who entered the competition. They both passed the the Post level of the completion, allowing them to compete at the District level, where they both placed in the Top 3. Since Haim Yoo’s essay won first place for the District, she has qualified for the State competition! Furthermore, both students will be recognized at a VFW luncheon on February 24th!
