A week ago today, Head of School John Davis held his annual State of the School Address.
Secondary Principal Rachel Frecka gave opening remarks and an opening prayer before the address. Head of School John Davis took time to recognize several alumni who have returned as ICS employees, as well as ICS Alumni who have gone on to succeed in college and beyond.
Both Sofia Gomez and and Mia Dominguez were recognized as National Hispanic Scholars. Dominguez had the opportunity and give a testimonial of her time at ICS.
Mr. Davis took time to recognize members of the ICS School Board, along with his dear friend and former member Jim Davis, who passed away about a week before this address.
New and exciting changes that are taking place in the Secondary program, along with the reimplementation of educational and spiritual trips and retreats and Great Fridays. Mr. Davis addressed the positive changes in the Athletic Department that have taken place, and the accomplishments of our many athletic teams.
Before closing, Mr. Davis stressed the importance of parental engagement in their students educational process, and the understanding that our doors are open to parents as well.
We here at Immanuel Christian school are blessed to see the strides we have made, and look forward to how the Lord will continue to use ICS in the future.
