Immanuel Christian School has chosen the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society as the academic honor societies for our school. The purpose of these organizations is to promote the ideals of character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.
Induction into the National Honor Society or National Junior Honor Society is a great honor considering the stringent requirements. The requirements are set to reflect the highest academic achievement in a college-preparatory school.
National Junior Honor Society members must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 92 for their entire 7th and 8th-grade years.
National Honor Society members must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 94 for their entire high school years (9th through 12th).
Only students who have completed at least half of their classes or credits at Immanuel Christian School are eligible for induction.
Because the National Honor Society represents and promotes good citizenship as well as academic achievement, the Inductees must also exhibit the traits of Honesty, Justice, Service, Cooperation, Responsibility, Industriousness, Humility, and Charity.

"Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives; with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."
