Linda Johnson

ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL

"It has been my honor to serve as both the elementary principal and all school principal for the past twelve years at Immanuel Christian School," says Mrs. Johnson.

Before becoming principal, Linda Johnson taught third grade for eleven years at ICS and previously at Pebble Hills Elementary in the 80’s. Her educational background consists of a B.S. in Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Johnson grew up in a military family and made numerous moves before high school, which gave her a great respect and love for our military families and the sacrifices they make.

Coming to El Paso in 1969 and still calling El Paso her home after 52 years shows her love for the people and culture of El Paso. Linda Johnson is the wife to loving husband, Mark and raised two wonderful children, Jacob and Melody, who attended Immanuel Christian School until high school. She considered it a blessing to be a stay at home mom for 15 years, but when the call came to step back into teaching, she jumped on the opportunity.

Mrs. Johnson's son Jacob lives and works in El Paso, and her daughter, husband, and grandson, live in Houston, TX.  The Lord decided to bless her with her first grandchild, Rowan, during this past year.  "Honestly, Rowan is the best thing since sliced bread and the biggest blessing during the Covid," says Johnson. "My childhood dream was to become a teacher and I began holding classes at the age of 5 in our backyard.  Of course, I was always the teacher!"  As a lifetime educator, she values the importance of providing a nurturing and safe environment where "your child can soar like an eagle and not settle."

"Isn’t that what we all want?  A parent who sees the potential in their child to utilize the talents and gifts that they have been given should desire a learning portal where their child can find their passion and pursue their dreams. Immanuel Christian School can be that place that provides an avenue of learning; to include, core subjects, Biblical worldview concepts, attention to Stem strategies, and opportunities to develop leadership skills.  Along with the above mentioned, a child who desires to impact their generation and beyond will learn to be a living example of humility, wisdom, and grace from the faculty and staff at Immanuel Christian School.

It is my sincere prayer that all who enters the doors of Immanuel will have a desire to partner with us in the educational process and help cultivate values, morals, and a love for the living God.  The opportunities we have to make a difference and impact the next generation are endless, so we welcome you to the next part of your child’s journey.  Get started…."
