7th-12th Grade Community Service
Immanuel Christian School secondary students (grades 7-12) are required to complete community service hours each school year. This requirement is meant to teach our students, from a christian perspective, the importance of being a contributing member of their community through service, preferably to the less fortunate of society.
All students in grades 7-12 are required to complete 30 hours of community service per year. These hours may be served at most community service organizations and may be completed during the summer before the school year starts. Opportunities to earn service hours are also available throughout the school year through the monthly Adopt-A-Block program.
Adopt-A-Block is only for students in grades 7-12 and is a community outreach that ministers once a month to the neighborhood surrounding the school.
Elementary students also have opportunities to serve through the elementary student council events or through the church by raising donations or collecting goods (e.g. Thanksgiving food baskets, etc.).
